#25 Christmas Pudding
Merry Christmas!!! You knew I would make a painting today didn't you! I am so full this afternoon there is no danger of me eating anything else. As is traditional with advent calenders so it is with advent paintings, that the 25th window/painting is a bit bigger, This painting is oil on gesso 21cm x 17cm so, nearly twice the size of the others. Join me next year for more festive fun and you can carry on following the daily paintings here. Click here to buy.

It wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of Holly, It must have been a good year for berries of all sorts I have never seen so many festooned bushes of all kinds. Especially holly, mostly because I remeber it being a very rare sight as I was growing up in the wilds of North Norfolk! Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm click here to buy.

#10 Mince Pie
I painted a mince pie on day #350 of the first year of Dan Young, Daily and was probably the main inspiration for the advent project. I knew I wanted to paint a mince pie again and why not paint a christmas 'thing' everyday, and why not do it through advent. Well, why not? Oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm sold.

#1 Chocolate Santa
If you have come from my Dan Young, Daily blog welcome and if you have com from somewhere else welcome as well! If you are a regular follower you know the deal if not in a nutshell; I choose an object, I paint it, I post it, people bid on them, the next day I do another! That's pretty much what will happen here but there is an advent calender twist so, all the objects will be of a Christmassy bent. The other change with this project is you won't be able to bid on the paintings but you can 'buy it now' oil on gesso 16cm x 12cm click here to buy it now.

The Painted Advent
Welcome to 'The Painted Advent' or, 'Dan Young, Daily's Christmas Special'. Either way you will see here a series of Christmas paintings made following the same rules and format that my daily oil paintings took, click here to see more of those. Except all the objects must have a link to Christmas. Today is the the official first day of advent however, the tradition of advent calenders dictates that I begin the paintings on the 1st of December, so please pop back on Tuesday the 1st to see the first painting.
I also want to use this project to raise some money for and awareness of CCP's Hamper Scamper Campaign and support the amazing work done over the countdown to Christmas by CCP staff and volunteers making Christmas happen for people who might not have had it happen to them otherwise. Which is why a third of the sale price from each painting will go towards the Hamper Scamper campaign. see the side bar for more info and links.
